Yes, it is true…yesterday Russel and I hit our 2.5 year anniversary mark of actually meeting eachother. Hard to believe that 30 months ago I ran in to this mysterious man at Jackdaw’s and began dating him exactly one month later. Wow, I sure move fast! haha Russ and I are tacky and try to celebrate our 2 anniversaries every month, whether with a special phonecall, visit, outing or little gift. Yesterday Russ had mentioned wanting to come over to watch Rockstar and the finale. Assuming that it would be 2 hours, it would be worth the visit. Mind you I didn’t know what he was up to. Then I got home later, the roof was leaking from all the rain and helped my mom clean out the closet. I also found out that the show was only going to happen for an hour so it might not have been worth Russ coming. (more…)

Darling Russel,

So it is your birthday-a new number to add to your name. I know you have been dreading this day because of that lovely little 1 that will now go in place of the zero which is after the 3!

This is another year that we get to share your birthday, just you and I.

When I met you almost 2 years ago, you were in the early start of your 29th year. Then last year was the end of that and the start of your 30th year. You were unshaven, unshowered and shocked out of your cowboy hat at the surprise you got when you walked in the house. SURPRISE-it was all of us…friends, family, and me. For 17 months, the days have passed like 17 minutes. For my special love, the light of which my heart feeds off of..these are my 17 wishes for this special day where we are celebrating our 17th month of the first date and first kiss.

1. For this 17th month, I wish to be the music to your song.

2. I wish to always be by your side in times of confusion and insecurity.

3. I wish to be your vision of what the perfect woman should be.

4. I wish to have your love and honor until my passing days.

5. I wish to be your equal partner in love and life.

9. I wish that others could experience what we have together, and cherish eachother as if they will never have this experience in another lifetime again.

Another snapshot of Russ and I dressed to the 9’s on a warm summer day, July 23rd 2005. I decided to wear my polka dot halter dress because the weather called for it and I SO wanted to wear my funky shoes!! Russ was my date at my cousin Matthew’s engagement/wedding party. It was a nice event though I was creeped out by the bride-it was another day to hang out with my handsome man. Notice his very current hairstyle-I love it

I thought I would put up two funky shots of our pictures-they came out kind of blurry because my little cousin kept trying to hit his sister when she was taking this..the more I played with it, the more blurry it became! Sorry!

People think we are nuts. Crazy in fact. Well we are, we just are. Russ and I take great excitement out of celebrating in any shape or form, another anniversary. We have 2 a month which is probably 2 too many for some, but for us it is just fun. We celebrate the 13th of every month because we met on the 13th, (March 2004), and we celebrate the 16th of every month because we had our first date on the 16th (April 2004). My Dad says that we are both weird because of this since it is almost like we are trying to race to each month so we can celebrate something! haha Well that is ok for us. We don’t go literally over the top twice a month or anything-but for the both of us, those 2 dates are the landmark to which we can thank for bringing us where we are now! (more…)

This is a song I came across many years ago when I was asked to play it for my friends parents wedding. Shania Twain is the singer of it and I had no idea what this song was until I actually had to learn it on the piano. Nevertheless, it was always a favorite of mine to play and listen to because of the music and lyrics. Little did I know that years down the road, this song would mean more to me than it ever did before. (more…)

Can you tell that I am dating a Techie, aka Russel?? Actually this all happened last night as Alicia was searching for templates for her current blog. I happened to walk by the computer room as she was on this blog page called Blog Themes and I said, “OOOOOO I love it!!” and immediately wanted it. Thankfully Alicia was good enough to let me have this theme because it IS kind of tricky to work with. The overall layout is very deep and intense, so I sat back and wondered what the poop to write about in here. (more…)
