Yes, it is true…yesterday Russel and I hit our 2.5 year anniversary mark of actually meeting eachother. Hard to believe that 30 months ago I ran in to this mysterious man at Jackdaw’s and began dating him exactly one month later. Wow, I sure move fast! haha Russ and I are tacky and try to celebrate our 2 anniversaries every month, whether with a special phonecall, visit, outing or little gift. Yesterday Russ had mentioned wanting to come over to watch Rockstar and the finale. Assuming that it would be 2 hours, it would be worth the visit. Mind you I didn’t know what he was up to. Then I got home later, the roof was leaking from all the rain and helped my mom clean out the closet. I also found out that the show was only going to happen for an hour so it might not have been worth Russ coming.

I dunno…one of those nights and we both had things to do. So I called him and we chatted for a bit. Then he told me that he really needed me to call back in 20 minutes. I thought that was strange. Bathroom break? No. Phonecall with someone? No. Computer stuff? No. But he wasn’t saying why. Ok, so I let him go and started on some things in my room. Literally, 20 minutes later the doorbell rings and I hear my Dad say RUSSEEEEEEL at the front door.

So there I am in my granny nightgown (the warm one which is so boring but COMFY!) with my hair up and my face all plain and Russel walks in the house. Since I was upstairs I made sure to run and change in to a better housecoat.

He came in the house with presents to give and the biggest surprise..HIMSELF! And there I was assuming he would call back in 20 minutes, yet he was already on his way to the house. Apparently when I had called him, he was in the store buying me the gifties and didn’t want to break the surprise. I had no idea he would just show up either so that was a GREAT surprise for me. I loved my gifts and the company, after all, I REALLY needed a shoulder to complain on when Dilana didn’t win Rockstar! haha

So after 30 months, the King and I are still together, still crazy happy and still trying to outwit eachother. Too bad HE beat me this time…but just you wait…I am pretty good with surprises, but now I gotta find something surprise worthy..oh wait, we have another anniversary next month and this Saturday! Maybe I can spin something up! lol
