In chronological order….
2004
February 9th-The Launching of Billynotes.ca-a great little idea that I had which was helped out by a partner of mine at the time.
March 9th-11-The historical war starts on Billynotes. Russ (dpu) from the Kovered in Lies forum enters Billynotes letting everyone know that the KIL members can go back to the original site for information. I get overheated, his post gets deleted and therefore a very public backlash happens between us. During this time, apologies are handed out and a promise of making it up through a drink is ensued on Russ’s part.
March 13th-Jackdaw’s Pub. Billynotes party is held and I am unsure of attending based on the huge fight that happened. I go so that I can wear my green vintage Versace shoes. Russ shows up and knocks me off my feet, yes that first time. I am taken by him even though we didn’t get a chance to talk. He leaves the night a bit early and I am left wondering more about him.
A few weeks in between-Russ and I end up talking on MSN and he asks me out on a date. I am a bit shocked and scared but do agree to it. After attempting to get one done just before April 1st, it doesn’t work out and I assume that us getting together is just not meant to be.
April 16th-After a better communication between the two of us on MSN, Russ asks me out again and we make a date. The 16th is when we both try to sneak in some time to see eachother at the Black Bull pub. The time is set for 2:00 am and there is freezing rain outside. I arrive at the pub first with Russ coming in just after. The date was short even though it was for 3 hours. We look forward to seeing eachother later that night at a KIL studio party. The date leaves us parting and me giving Russ a kiss smack on the lips. Yup, Miss Shy got Miss Not-so-Shy with Russ. What can I say? I guess a girl DOES kiss on the first date!!
April 16th-The evening of this date went perfectly well and I was so intrigued by this shy fellow. Before going to my car, another kiss is shed and a request to see me again. This happens within the next few days.
May-Weekly dates are a must even through the snowfall. Though my schedule with work is busy, Wednesday is our selected date day-meaning that we meet up each time around 2:30 and I go home around 8:30. Thus begins the start of our infamous “No less than 5 hour dates”.
June-First time meeting Russ’s parents for dinner at their house. This is a scary thing for me because I am pretty old fashioned in that meeting the parents is only for serious viewers! The day goes off well and even though I say 5 words all night, I am flattered that Russ wants to introduce me to his family! June also marked our first time going to Banff together and my getting home (for the first time ever) at 4:00 am! OUCH!
July-More dating including dinner dates at Russ’s place. I have taken to trying to cook with him at his house and take pictures of our first time cooking together. He goes away for only one day to Edmonton and I find myself sincerely missing him as if he was gone for a month!
August-We continue onwards and upwards, learning more and more about eachother and having late night conversations that take us to the next morning.
September-I start school again and my schedule shifts BIG TIME. Russ and I work around eachother and continue building a great relationship.
October-Our first Halloween is spent together. Russ also comes to watch my own student recital with my kiddies for the first time. Everyone in my workplace gets to meet this special guy in my life. Halloween night is spent at Russ’s house handing out candies to the kids and trying hard not to eat them ourselves!
November-The first surprise party held for Russ’s 30th birthday. I get to be a part of the ordeal and meet more of Russ’s friends from Edmonton. I give him a few gifts but one that opened the door to our feelings which told him that I loved him. Awww-go me. Our declaration of committment is said that night (it was always there but both of us were too shy of saying) and we look forward to the holidays together.
December-Our first Christmas is spent together at my house. Russ gets introduced to the family after having dated me for 8 months. I wanted to be ENTIRELY sure that the guy I brought home would be the guy I would want to be with every day and more. Russ faces at least 25 family members that night and scores an A plus! Mind you, this is the first time he meets the Don of the family…my Dad and his mini me-aka my brother! Xmas Day is spent at Russ’s family’s home and New Years Eve and day is spent with my family. Word of this handsome “new” man goes as far as Italy and Russ is officially welcomed in to my home!
2005
January-The last semester of my school which proved to be even more tricky with the terrible weather and the early sleeping patterns on my part. Russ and I are still reeling out of delight at the fact that he can now be a better part of my family and come to visit me more often!
February-My birthday month…dreading the turn of 26 years of age but feeling better knowing that someone special is around me to share it with. This is the first birthday that I spend with Russ at my side!
March-Our one year anniversary of meeting eachother. We landmark this moment as being a pivotal role in our lives and celebrate it as best as possible.
April-Another landmark anniversary-one year of our first date which set things off. Of all the people to really MAKE it together, Russ and I are still both amazed at how two different people could come together so explosively!
May and June-More of the usual stuff…the dates continue onwards with there being anywhere from 5-12 hour dates in various places!
July-well the rest of the story continues onwards from here. This is technically our 2nd summer together and we are loving every minute we have. Time has moved so fast, but not so fast as we had hoped since it took Russ 29 years to meet me and myself, 25 years to meet Russ.
We truely look forward to the onward continuance of this time line which will highlight more exciting events to come!

You have a nice and wonderful relationship together. Just remember that there’s nothing better than the happiness and meaning you feel when you know you are with somebody who truly cares for you.
